Yesterday's term was multifarious, which is defined as:

adj., adv. reference to a lawsuit in which either party or various causes of action (claims based on different legal theories) are improperly joined together in the same suit. This is more commonly called misjoinder. See also: misjoinder.

Slickdpdx offered a better guess than I could have.  However, nice try, but no cigar. 

Today's term, in honor of my blog, is: 

sui generis.

No peeking at my "About" page, which now includes the definition due to the large number of people that arrive at this blog in search of the definition for "sui generis."

Sui generis means unique or specific to the particular case.
