* He keeps citing the legal case of Godzilla v. Mothra.

* Just before trial starts he whispers, "The judge is the one with the little hammer, right?"

* Just before he says "Your Honor," he makes those little quotation marks in the air with his fingers.

* The sign in front of his law office reads "Practicing Law Since 2:25 PM."

* Whenever his objection is overruled, he tells the judge, "Whatever."

* He giggles every time he hears the word "briefs."

Top 10 blawgs

I've been tagged in a meme.  Much thanks to Kevin Underhill of Lowering the Bar for including Legal Antics in the list of his 10 favorite law blogs.

In fact, both of my blogs have been tagged in this meme, and I'm at a loss as to how to create 2 lists of 10 different blogs that have not yet been tagged in this meme.

I've decided there's simply no way to do that, so I'm simply going to pick my top 10 favorite blogs, from the perspective of "Serious Lawyer Niki" over at Sui Generis and from the perspective of "Niki-who-thinks-lawyers-take-themselves-too-seriously" here at Legal Antics.

And now (*drum roll*) I bring you the top 15 (*crash*)--I mean, 10 blawgs that make me laugh on occasion:

1)   Quizlaw--Seth and Dustin never fail to make me laugh.  A daily must read.

2)  Lowering the Bar--Yeah, I know that's the blog that nominated Legal Antics, but it's damn funny.  So, include it, I shall.

3)  The Legal Reader--Lawyers and their stupid decisions--always a funny combination.

4)  Above the Law--Always entertaining and sometimes unbelievably funny. (Eg., Everyone's a Winner at that humorless BigLaw firm!).

5)  Say What?--Always above the brow, and usually worth a laugh.

6)  The Volokh Conspiracy--I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to be funny, but seriously, if you can't laugh at the majority of the Libertarian leaning posts and the ridiculous comments made by their mostly male readers who possess what are undoubtedly very small...minds, then you'd just have to cry.  Personally, I'd rather laugh.

7)  The Wall Street Journal Law Blog--See #6 above, but mostly as it relates to the comments.  The comments are particularly laughable when issues of work/life/balance/women are raised. 

8)  Juz the Fax--A lawyer joke every Friday.  That's funny.

9)  Overheard in Law School--Law students with a sense of humor.  You don't see that every day!

10)  Sui Generis--Yes, that would be my other blog.  Am I supposed to list my own blog?  Probably not.  But, my goal in creating this list was to point you towards funny, and funny it is.  The now defunct "Funny Stuff" category is chock full o' laughs, in my humble opinion..
